WiFi signals change when people move through a room. The challenge was turning that raw radio data into products a family, a care home or a business can actually use, without putting a camera in the room.

02 · Our approach
We built the sensing stack first, close to the hardware, then a dashboard that turns signal into plain answers: is someone here, is someone moving, did someone fall.
03 · What we built
- 01Small ESP32-S3 sensor nodes that listen to the WiFi already in the room
- 02Edge modules compiled to WebAssembly that can be hot-loaded onto the nodes
- 03A Rust sensing server (Axum) that turns the radio data into presence and movement
- 04Time-series storage in PostgreSQL with TimescaleDB
- 05A live demo dashboard (SpaceWave) and service plans for SafeWave, CareWave and SpaceWave
04 · Where it stands
The demo dashboard is live. The sensing stack is complete in testing; the customer-facing product layer is still in development.
